How and when did you start kite surfing?
I started in 1999 after seeing a picture in a lifestyle mag. Taught myself, went to Hawaii and New Zealand six months later to really get a good idea of the sport.
What are your qualifications and experience in kite surfing?
I'm an IKO level 2 instructor. In 2007 I finished fourth in the British Wave Riding Championship.
Where is your best place to kite surf?
Shoreham at high tide when the beach dump is solid and no one else is out. I also love Raglan in New Zealand.
What was your worst accident kite surfing/most dangerous kite surfing experience?
My worst accident was when I snapped knee ligaments on a bad landing. The most dangerous experience was when a shark was paying too much attention to me when I was teaching in a marine reserve area in New Zealand.
What would you do if you weren't kite surfing?
